Volume sensors VS Series are positive displacement flowmeters. The measuring sensors are based on the meshing gear principle and are ideally used for liquids. There is an accurately machined housing in which you have two matched gear wheels. A noncontacting signal pick-up System is responsible for gear rotation. It runs on the basis of one gear tooth-one signal basis. There is space between gear teeth and when they are enclosed on both sides by the twin sides of the housing, you can see the measuring chambers. The gears rotate with help of fluid flow and when the liquid comes in through the unit, the gears move by one tooth pitch. It is this volume, also known as Volume/Impulse (VJ) is responsible for defining the flow meter size. It is stated in cc/lmp.
