The Sitema KFHL Locking Units were designed according to specific maritime application requirements and feature customized clamping system as well as special housing and materials, designed to provide excellent resistance against all sea water related hazards. The seals and housing are also manufactured out of special materials and covered with special coatings. They are normally used on cylinder rods and similar round shafts, providing force holding in both axial directions. The admissible load value, expressed in kN, is the maximum permitted load for the KFHL model, while the actual holding force is twice higher and equal to the Lloyd’s Register EMEA required margin, ensuring maximum personal safety. These units feature spring activated clamping and hydraulic release.
